A Loan with MCU will benefit a club/organisation of your choice

Take out your next Loan with MCU to benefit a club/organisation of your choice.  For every NEW loan approved and drawn at MCU, clubs or organisations will benefit. One of the best things about this program is the borrower gets to choose who they want to donate the money to. The program has only been running a couple of months and already money is flowing through the Hinterland.

The program was set up in recognition of the tireless work that clubs or organisations do in our communities. MCU has recognised the need to financially support them for their role in our communities.  Organisations that have benefited are:

  • Maleny Neighbourhood Centre $850
  • Maleny Rangers Football Club $350
  • Maleny Rural Fire Brigade $550
  • Blackall Range Zonta Club $250
  • Woodford Bowls Club $250
  • Conondale Sport & Rec Club $150
  • Hinterland Bush Links $250
  • Maleny & Blackall Range Lions Club $200
  • Sunshine Coast Riding for the Disabled $100
  • Nambour Rugby League Club $100
  • Palmwoods Warriors Football Club $100
  • Sonshine Sanctuary $100
  • Maleny Men’s Shed $100
  • Montville Rural Fire Brigade $200
  • Glasshouse AFL Club $100
  • Beerwah Bulldogs Rugby League Club $250
  • Range United Soccer Club $100

Nicole Hilton from MCU says “It’s wonderful at the end of every month to make the calls to these organisations and tell them that we have some money for them”. That being said, it’s really our customers that we must thank, they choose Maleny Credit Union, and this allows us to pass on the benefit to clubs and organisations. The more customers that borrow from us, the more funds that will go back into the community. Really the sky is the limit to how much money could be generated back into the community strengthening our local economy. Small businesses should also profit as the clubs are likely to use the funds to shop locally for their needs. More funds going back into Hinterland communities could well mean more jobs. It’s a winning combination for all of us”.
