How to deposit monies into your MCU account

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) – If you wish to have funds transferred from another organisation or financial institution* directly to your account, use:

· BSB: 704-606

· your MCU account number (obtainable online, from your statement or a Member Services Officer) AND

· your account name.

*Other financial institution fees may apply.

Direct Debit Requests (DDR’s) are available to MCU Loans and E Saver accounts only. For an authorisation form, ask your Loans/Member Services Officer.

Post a cheque or money order – direct to MCU with a MCU deposit slip or a letter with full account details. Make the cheque or money order payable to your name not to MCU and include your account number.

Over-the-Counter deposits at Westpac (WBC) – This must be done by using pre-printed deposit books which you need to order from MCU. A fee of $1.00 per deposit will be charged to your MCU savings account should you reach your 5 fee free transactions per month.

Overseas Transfers to MCU – Please be aware that MCU is unable to receive funds directly from overseas; the transfer must be directed through the MCU account at Westpac. Therefore you need to send the funds as follows:

· Financial Institution: Westpac, Queen St Brisbane

· BSB: 034-862

· Account number: 804606

· Account name: Maleny Credit Union.

· Swift Code: WPACAU2S (only use if requested)

· Then quote: YOUR ACCOUNT NAME and ACCOUNT NUMBER as a comment

To help ensure the funds are deposited into your account, it is IMPORTANT to give the transaction details to an MCU Member Services Officer once you know the funds have been sent.

Deposits via the Internet – Go to your financial institution’s website and follow their procedures to deposit funds to a MCU account. Use BSB 704-606, your MCU account number (obtainable from your statement, online or a Member Services Officer), and include your account name.
