Ten years ago, Stuart and Jenny Daniels realised they were in a make-or-break situation and decided that starting a small business was the best option – actually the only option.  A decade on, the box trailer-making business they launched with the aid of a $32,000 Maleny Credit Union loan has invested $2 million in a Beerwah factory that employs 30 staff producing and selling galvanised steel box trailers nationwide. Last August it beat a bid from a Chinese competitor to secure an exclusive supply deal with Bunnings. Trailers 2000’s long term goal is to take its output from 10-14 trailers a day to 48.
